Gluten-Free Recipes
If you need to eat a gluten free diet, then you need some gluten-free recipes. Gluten free cooking may sound difficult, but it’s not so hard once you get used to it. You can find gluten-free recipes online or you can buy gluten free cookbooks at any bookstore. If you are working with a registered dietician (and it’s good idea to at least meet with a dietician once when beginning a gluten free diet), he or she can give you some recipes.
Gluten Free Cooking Tips
You can modify just about any recipe to be gluten free. For instance, you can substitute gluten free pasta, made from rice or corn or potatoes, for regular pasta in recipes.
There a number of gluten free flours you can substitute for wheat flour, including almond flour, amaranth flour, rice flour, teff flour, fava bean flour, gram flour, soya flour, and cornmeal. However, you should be aware that breads and other baked goods made with these other flours might not have the same consistency as the bread you’re used to. You may have to experiment with different flours in different combinations until you get something you like.
